DFK Canada Welcomes New President
The Managing Partner of Davis Martindale LLP, a firm with offices in London and Toronto ON, has taken over the reigns as President of DFK Canada.
Rick Santos, Managing Partner of Davis Martindale was officially appointed as President during the recent DFK Canada meetings, held in conjunction with the DFK Global Conference in Vancouver in July 2026. He takes over from outgoing President, Scott Timson, who held the President’s position from 2024-2026.
Rick is a graduate of Western University and attained his CA designation in 2005. He joined Davis Martindale in 2006, was invited into the firm partnership in 2009 before becoming Managing Partner in 2018. With a strong commitment to community, Rick has served on a number of Boards supporting the London Area.
Rick was first appointed to the DFK Executive Committee in 2024 and has served in the capacity of Vice President since that appointment. As he takes over the President role, Rick will also serve as the DFK Canada National Group’s representative on the DFK International Members’ Council. Additionally, Rick serves on the 2026 DFK North American Conference Planning Committee.
Rick says “I’m humbled to assume the role of President of DFK Canada to support and serve our strong Canadian Member Group. I am excited about the opportunity to collaborate closely with our Canadian member firms and to represent Canada within our international group. My goal is to build upon our deep relationships and enhance our DFK proposition within our National group, attract talented, like-minded independent firms to our group, and enhance our sharing of best practices and resources to keep our firms on the leading edge of an ever-changing professional services environment. We need to remind ourselves of what we can do as a group to enhance the value proposition of DFK, to support each other with our collective expertise so that our firms can provide the best client experience and team experience for their respective organizations. I am looking forward to my term as President of DFK Canada. I want to thank Scott Timson for his leadership and guidance as our outgoing President, Beth Porter for her valued contributions over her term on the Executive, leaving the Executive Board as past president and I look forward to Scott Craig’s contributions joining our Executive this year. We have a lot to be proud of, and I look forward to the bright future that lies ahead.
The DFK Canada Executive Committee also recently appointed a new Vice President to fill the vacancy left by Rick Santos. Welcomed to the Committee is Scott Craig, a senior partner with the firm Craig Ross LLP based in Winnipeg, MB. Scott has been actively involved with DFK Canada since 2023 when the firm first became a DFK member.
He said "Our firm has benefitted greatly from the relationships, knowledge sharing, and opportunities that have come through our involvement with DFK Canada. Joining the Executive Committee is one way for us to give back to an organization that has provided significant value to our firm and our clients since we joined the network. I am honoured to serve in this role and look forward to working with fellow member firms to strengthen relationships, share ideas and best practices, and help ensure DFK Canada continues to deliver meaningful value and opportunities for collaboration across our membership."
